Day 1 - Miracles
Mark 9:23 TPT - 23 Jesus said to him, “What do you mean ‘if’? If you are able to believe,all things are possible to the believer.”
As we begin these 21 days of prayer and fasting it is important to understand the one to whom we pray is able to do ALL things. We must walk into this time with true faith. Faith can be seen as knowing God can and expecting that He will do something.
In this verse we see Jesus responding to a man’s unbelief that Jesus would be able or willing to help his son be rid of a demon possession he had experienced from birth. The man says to Jesus in verse 22, “But please, if you’re able to do something, anything—have compassion on us and help us!”. Jesus’ response is so incredible. It shows us that of course He is able and if we would only believe He is more than willing to help!
Jesus cast out the demon with a word and the boy was healed, all because the man responded with, “I do believe, Lord; help my little faith!”.
Our God is able and willing to help His children when they seek His will for their lives. We must understand that we serve a God who created and controls the universe and NOTHING is impossible for Him. Not only that, but we serve a God who WANTS to help us. We only need to believe. So as we begin this fast, let your faith attempt to match His unlimited resources. Boldly approach the throne of grace with your requests, believing for your miracle. Not “If you can,” but rather, “When you do.”
Day 2 - Devo Life
James 4:8a TPT - 8 Move your heart closer and closer to God, and he will come even closer to you.
To be able to receive all God has planned for you during this time, it starts with dedicating the time to grow closer to God. That’s the reason we have given you thoughts to walk through each day of the fast. To create a lasting habit that will only grow and flourish with time and commitment to God.
You can’t know someone if you don’t spend time with them, and that’s what it tells us in James. To allow God to move closer to us, we must move our hearts closer to Him. There is a real temptation to focus on what you can’t have when you’re fasting. To complain about the lack of caffeine or sweets and make that your focus. But why focus on what you’re giving up?!
You’re gaining so much more than you’re losing during this short time. And what’s more disappointing is by focusing on the lack of food, it causes you to miss the good thing God wants to show you each and every minute. When you sacrifice to move closer to God, use that time to move closer to God! Be intentional each morning to spend time with Him, read your Bible, pray, and thank Him for His goodness.
Then continue to spend time with Him throughout the day. Each time you’re tempted to complain or focus on food, or headaches, or something you’re giving up…PRAY! Make it your goal to only fill yourself up with God, not just empty yourself of your earthly desires in this time.
Day 3 - Speak Boldly | Family
1 Peter 3:15 ESV - 15 but in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect…
The prayer to be able to speak God’s word boldly is something that each one of us needs to pray for daily. To speak the truth to our own family can sometimes be the hardest thing. We want so badly to see them make it to Heaven that it often turns into a shouting match or we just want to see them so we keep our mouths shut… Neither one is good.
Peter tells us to always be prepared to give the reason for our hope and to do it with gentleness and respect. It must be born out of a heart to see people make it to Heaven; our heart must break for the lost. Staying silent is not the answer, but trying to prove a point to our family isn’t either.
Use this verse to pray for the boldness to speak to those members of your family who don’t know Jesus yet. Pray that God will not only give you the opportunity, but the boldness to speak when it comes. Pray also to be sensitive to His Holy Spirit as you speak. Allow Him to lead you during your conversation and let it be His words, not yours. We are merely the vessel that He uses as we are willing. When we are willing and sensitive to His Spirit, we are able to be a part of setting the scene for life change. Pray this way and watch what God does in the lives of your family members.
Day 4 - Speak Boldly | The World
2 Timothy 1:7 TPT 7 For God will never give you the spirit of fear, but the Holy Spirit who gives you mighty power, love, and self-control.
As you continue to pray for boldness to share God’s Word, we must remember that we are called to take as many people with us to Heaven as we can. This means we use the places we spend time in as opportunities to share God’s love. Each day at work or school can sometimes feel redundant. Maybe it’s boring, maybe it’s fun, maybe it’s stressful, or just something you have to do.
Have you ever considered these environments where we spend so much of our time as a battleground? It is! You have been called to battle each day you step foot in work or school or the grocery store. God wants no one to die without knowing Him. You have the power to share Jesus with others you interact with, so will you?
During these 21 days, pray that each time you change locations and several times throughout the day in those locations, for opportunities. Pray for opportunities to speak out and know that with the Holy Spirit living inside you, you are not given a spirit of fear. No, the Spirit in you is the Holy Spirit and He wants the opportunity to speak out…so let Him! Pray for the ability to use the power of Jesus living inside of you with everyone you meet. Make sure to do this throughout your day and you will be able to experience being a part of life change like never before!
Day 5 - International Churches
Matthew 28:19 NLT - 19 Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.
This verse, known often as “The Great Commission” was given by Jesus to His disciples after His resurrection and before His ascension into Heaven. It is what we are called to do. Make it to Heaven and take as many people as we can with us. And it doesn’t say just in your local community or immediate circle, no, it says ALL NATIONS.
In America we often get focused on ourselves and think only we exist, but Jesus came to save the WORLD! We are here to further the gospel no matter where that might be! That’s why we partner with international churches at Radiant. We want to bring Heaven down on Earth and have all nations and tongues praising the mighty name of Jesus.
Pray with us that God would bring in more international churches to partner with us to share the message of hope and love to their communities. We are all called to a mission field and by partnering with people from around the world we can be so much more effective. We will have two international congregations at our El Mirage location in 2022. Pray for our Hispanic and Asian communities to be reached like never before. Pray for them to have boldness to reach their family and friends for Jesus. Pray for Radiant to continue to partner with people from around the world to see lives changed for Jesus!
Day 6 - El Mirage & Changed Life Center
Matthew 25:40 TPT - 40 “And the King will say, ‘I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters,[a] you were doing it to me!’
Inside of the vision of an Acts 2:42 church is found the directive to meet needs. We truly want to see people taken care of in such a way they know we care about them truly and deeply. This then allows them to care about what we have to say, which is Jesus loves you!
As you pray and fast during these 21 days, keep in mind the people of the community of El Mirage. We are going to a place with a need that is so great, filled with people who have lost hope for a better way of life. Through the Changed Life Center we want to provide people with the things they need to give them hope that something can change. Pray for the people we will be partnering with to provide the goods and services to serve this community.
We will have a church in El Mirage with international congregations that will allow the message of Jesus’ hope and love to continue to go out like never before. Pray for the campus pastors, the launch teams, and the building project. Pray for favor for the city of El Mirage with the logistics of the building. Pray for wisdom as decisions are made and pray for revival in and through the El Mirage location.
We have an opportunity to care for those that need Jesus and hope in a desperate way. Pray for and partner with us as we go out to fulfill all that Jesus asks of us.
Day 7 - Sun City Location
Ephesians 2:10 NLT - 10 For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.
There are three qualities that make up a masterpiece in art and science. First, they express the imagination with a special kind of originality. Second, they endure over time. Third, they change the way artists and scientists view their fields.
Masterpieces in this world are rare, but the Bible tells us that each and everyone of us is a masterpiece created by God. We are His workmanship that expresses His imagination with a special kind of originality, we are designed to endure over time, and we are sent out into the world to change the way people think about their lives and the world around them! WOW! What an amazing promise from God.
This promise applies no matter who you are or how old or young, or your race, gender, or anything else. As we fast and pray for our purpose in life, let’s continue to join together to pray for all our locations and for Sun City. This is a mission field where people have lost hope of purpose, dreams, careers, loved ones, and often feel left out. Pray for the Sun City location to be a light to this area. A light to the veterans who feel forgotten, to the people who are estranged from their families and feel alone. God has made each one a masterpiece.
Pray that the Sun City location will have boldness to share God’s love and joy, to show there is so much more God has for everyone! We are all His masterpiece, so live in the unique, enduring, world changing way in which you were designed!
Day 8 - Deer Valley Location
Psalm 121:2-3 NLT - My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth,
3 He will not let you stumble; the one who watches over you will not slumber.
As you continue to pray for our locations around the valley, remember that no matter the circumstance God is in control. Our Deer Valley location has a high population of kids going to title one schools. Nearly all of them are on assisted lunch programs and there is a great need for kids and families in this area.
But there is ALWAYS hope in Jesus. We want to be the light in the darkness. A beacon of continued help and encouragement for the community. In times of trouble in all our lives, we all look to someone or something for help, even if that someone is ourselves. But the Bible teaches us where our help comes from AND promises that the one who helps never sleeps! He doesn’t take rest breaks for ANYONE. He is always at work in your life and in the lives of those around you. Trust His plan for your life and know He is always working out miracles for His children.
In your prayer time, make sure to lift up the Deer Valley location. They are in an area with great need and a great opportunity to be a light for Jesus. They will be able to spread love and hope as we continue to lift up our schools and the opportunity to partner with them. Make this your prayer today and continue to recognize and be broken for those who don’t have help and need to come to know the Helper that never sleeps!
Day 9 - Surprise Location
Acts 2:44 CEB - 44 All the believers were united and shared everything.
God has great things for each of us individually and as a church. As we seek His will for our locations, let’s always remember to pray for and protect the unity He gives us. As an Acts 2:42 church, we see that as the believers followed the plan of God, they enjoyed unity with one another. This allowed them to be more effective as a body and to further reach more people for Jesus.
Imagine a world where the church wasn’t thought of as a clique or a place where there were just as many problems and dramas as the outside world. What if the church changed the atmosphere and people ran there because of the unity they saw? What if they saw harmony and love, grace and forgiveness as the norm, not the exception.
As we are united as a church right now doing 21 days of prayer and fasting, continue to pray for the unity of all our locations. And pray for the community of Surprise to see an irresistible unity they can’t stay away from. During your day, ask God how you can show grace and promote unity in all situations, not just at church. Be mindful that unity with a common goal of making it to Heaven is a beautiful and powerful tool. Continue to pray for the heart to be united with each other and the strength to protect the unity God gives us as a church who is eager to see the world changed by His power.
Day 10 - Men of Radiant
Proverbs 27:17 ESV - Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another.
Praying for people has immense power. Everyone has a role to play, given by God, and lives to change. As we step into the roles God has called us to play, let’s pray for and encourage others in their roles as well. Strong families with strong spiritual leaders can change the world. As you spend time in prayer today, pray for the men of Radiant Church to be strong in their conviction to lead their families and pastor their homes.
Pray for the people who are here at the church to provide environments to allow men to own and grow deeper in their faith. Pray for wisdom and direction for the men of the church. For strength and courage to be the man God calls them to be, not the man the world tells them to be. We can all strengthen each other and if we have strong families led by strong Godly men, the world is going to change. The power of God in the family unit is incredible. Let’s continue to pray for boldness as well as gentleness and the ability to listen to God’s voice in the lives of our men.
Pray for men in your life specifically to be raised up as leaders as God calls. Pray for them to have opportunities to share their faith and pray for the ministry at Radiant Church that speaks to those men. Pray for fresh vision and connections. We all need each other, let’s believe that Radiant Church will be a place where men will pastor and lead their homes with a passion like never before.
Day 11 - Fearless Sisterhood
1 Thessalonians 5:11 NIV - 11Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.
Commitment to praying and fasting can be difficult around day 11, and that’s why the topic of encouragement is so fitting for today. The ability to be there for one another and build each other up is part of the great gift God has given us as a family. Today, let’s pray specifically that the atmosphere would change in this area for girls all around the world and in the Fearless Sisterhood.
It can be difficult to want to always encourage others and not get what we can for ourselves. As this verse says, we are to encourage and build each other up, to be there when times are good and bad and to speak truth in love into the lives of those around us. We want to be those girls in a world that is lacking this characteristic.
Pray for the Fearless Sisterhood to rise and girls who love and promote Jesus and each other. Pray for the strength of girls of every age to be able to see the need and meet it. What a wonderful atmosphere we can create when we focus on each other and not only each other, but how we can encourage each other. We all want more love and hope in the world; it starts with us. Pray for the girls of Radiant to stand strong as a Sisterhood and show compassion, love, hope, and encouragement, one girl at a time. Pray for the Fearless Sisterhood to own and share their faith like never before and watch the atmosphere change.
Day 12 - Marriages
1 Peter 4:8 - 8Most important of all, continue to show deep love for each other, for love covers a multitude of sins.
Marriage is such an incredible gift, but it might not always FEEL like it… We are taught from and early age that we are supposed to FEEL love and to be able to get it from one person only for the rest of our lives. When those expectations aren’t fulfilled, we turn to other things and people to find that feeling again.
That isn’t God’s plan. He knew it would be difficult to live out His design for loving others in our lives and for those who are married; this is paramount. That’s why Peter tells us to CONTINUE to show deep love. Deep love, love that is a verb. That requires action, that requires commitment. When we are more focused on the faults of the other person, saying things like, “well they don’t show me they love men,” or “how could he/she do that if he/she loves me?!” We aren’t focused on the kind of love God has in mind. We are focused on what we get, how we feel, selfish, worldly love.
How incredible would it be to see men and women stand up and make their marriages a priority by loving continually? It would lead to more grace, more acceptance, more people coming to know Jesus. The power of a marriage that is always striving for deeper love and connection is unmatched. It is better than any love this world has to offer. Pray for the marriages of Radiant Church. Pray for men and women to chose daily to love their spouse. To forgive offenses and grow deeper in love with each other and God.
If you are married, take time to pray with and for your spouse today. Ask them how you can be praying for them. Even if you fought last night or this morning. When you pray for someone and genuinely mean it, that love will come through, forgiveness takes place, and love and hope are restored in your lives. What incredible, power-packed teams we will have as we pray for marriages that will change generations to come through their choice daily to love as God calls us to love.
Day 13 - Radiant Seniors
Philippians 1:6 NLT - 6 And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.
Thank you for continuing to seek God in this time of prayer and fasting as a church family. Today, like every other day, it is important to remember that God has created us for a purpose. If we are still here, that purpose hasn’t been completed. This verse assures us that God will continue to use us not only while we are present in this life, but what we do can echo into eternity after we are gone. No matter who we are we can leave a legacy and be missionaries to those in our area who need Jesus.
Keep our seniors in prayer. This is a vibrant community at Radiant Church and we believe there is still so much more to fulfill. God doesn’t stop using us at some point as long as we are obedient and willing to be used. Pray that our seniors will have the opportunities they need and the courage to speak up to those around them. Those who feel lonely and left out. Those who might feel they have lost their purpose or are forgotten. In Phoenix, this is a population that we have the privilege to interact with more than most. They are still God’s children; He still has plans for them. Pray for boldness in interactions and the willingness to serve and to use all experiences to further God’s glory. The best is yet to come, and God promises He isn’t done with us. Pray for strength to continue to be willing to be used as God sees fit in the lives of our seniors.
Day 14 - Radiant Singles
1 Corinthians 2:9 NLT - 9“No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him.
Let’s be honest, we all put God in a box from time to time. We all have ideas for our futures that don’t seem to work out and when they don’t go according to our plan, we lose heart. That’s because we aren’t thinking BIG enough! Don’t pray for buckets of blessing, pray for barns of blessing. If there is a promise in the Bible that says the NO MIND has imagined what God has prepared for those who love Him…What are we doing limiting God with our finite plans.
For each of us today, let’s stop putting God in a box and let’s focus on Him only and let Him handle the details. As you continue to pray with us, focus on our singles in the church today. No matter the circumstance of life that you are in, God has a purpose and a plan. So pray for encouragement in their lives and the power to allow God to work like never before. Pray for God to truly be their focus and their center.
Pray for a boldness to believe for the impossible in our singles and raise them up to be people who show, by their faith that with God ANYTHING is possible. That should be our prayer daily not only for our singles, but for ourselves and our church. Let’s join together and pray for barns and ships of blessing and leave the imagination to the creator of the Universe!
Day 15 - Kids & NextGen
1 John 5:21 NLT - 21 Dear children, keep away from anything that might take God’s place in your hearts

Day 16 - Radiant Recovery
Colossians 1:21-22 TPT - 21-22 Even though you were once distant from him, living in the shadows of your evil thoughts and actions, he reconnected you back to himself. He released his supernatural peace to you through the sacrifice of his own body as the sin-payment on your behalf so that you would dwell in his presence. And now there is nothing between you and Father God, for he sees you as holy, flawless, and restored…
This verse, so eloquently put, should truly bring each and every one of us to our knees in gratitude. What an awesome God to make a way for us to be able to dwell in His presence forever! There is nothing between us and no one can separate us from his love. Jesus went to the cross for us to live a fully restored and changed life. Every one of us, no matter our past, needed to have a changed life. Jesus knew that; He paid the price for that change.
There are people who are hurting more than other, people who have had trauma in their lives that has affected them in so many ways. We have a heart for those who are broken and need the power of Jesus in their lives to fully recover. God gives us the power through His Holy Spirit, when we accept Him, to live a fully recovered life. He sent Jesus for that very purpose, that we might be victorious in this life and the next. He has plans for every single one of us and He isn’t done yet.
Pray with us for this ministry. For the people who are broken and need to find full recovery in Jesus. Pray that God would continue to trust Radiant to allow us to be a part of the healing that is taking place in so many lives. Continue to pray for people to find full recovery and purpose again in Jesus. This fast is a great time for people to find their deeper purpose as they listen for God to direct their steps. Pray for breakthrough in lives and strongholds to crumble as Jesus overcomes. For all of us, let’s live the changed life Jesus died to give us.
Day 17 - Revival in Arizona
John 3:16 TPT - 16 For here is the way God loved the world—he gave his only, unique Son as a gift. So now everyone who believes in him will never perish but experience everlasting life.
If you look up the definition of the word revival, you will be underwhelmed. The dictionary defines it as, “renewed attention or interest in something.” This seems to fall flat when we think of the power that comes with revival, but look again. Don’t let emotion overtake you and compare the definition with the verse above.
If people had a renewed attention and interest in how much God loved the world…The fact that He gave us a unique gift to save us…that if our interest and attention would once again see that if we believe in Him we would live FOREVER! Now, think about how powerful that would be! People focus on so many things throughout the day and our attention is fought for every second by what is around us. What if we stood together and prayed for people’s focus, interest, and attention to be redirected toward Jesus?
What if every billboard spoke of His love, every commercial spoke of how we accept Him and how we find hope? What if every movie portrayed His grace, every book spoke only of the powerful of His glory?! This is not a fantasy, it’s a true prayer! If our city, state, nation would focus once again on the saving power of Jesus, He would be back pretty soon…
Pray with us for our state today. Pray for people to have a supernatural awakening. Even if they don’t know what it is, let a fire and hunger for something more be stirred once again in the people of our state and city. Pray that hearts would be open to finding Jesus and people would be fully devoted followers, ready to go back out to ignite more revival in their communities. Our world is going to change as we pray, so don’t stop fasting, praying, seeking, and believing for the people of this world.
Day 18 - Our Nation
Jeremiah 29:7 NLT - 7 "And work for the peace and prosperity of the city where I sent you into exile. Pray to the Lord for it, for its welfare will determine your welfare.”
As you read this verse, know that we are not in exile! We are truly blessed to live in this country and experience the freedom God gives us to worship Him and to live the lives He has called us to live. The point of this verse here, is that we are to work for peace and prosperity where we live, to pray for our nation to succeed. In this time of political, social, medical confusion and turmoil, we may have a tendency to blame, complain, gossip, and defame our country and leaders.
This is not God’s design. Just as he placed the Israelites in a location and told them to work for its prosperity, He has done the same with us. If we cannot unite as Christians to show love and grace, speak truth with mercy and wisdom for the Holy Spirit, then how are we sharing God’s love where He has placed us? If the country and nation prosper, we prosper, so work for peace and hope. Pray each time you see a negative news story for God’s power to be in that situation, then release it to God.
It may be difficult to not complain, speak our opinion, or become worried with our nation today, but if God is in control of everything else, then why wouldn’t He be in control of our nation? Pray for our nation today. Pray for people to find love and grace in their hearts for each other. Pray for God’s truth to come forward in a chaotic and confusing time. Pray that our nation would turn its focus back to God, above all, and watch as the prosperity trickles down from nation to state to city to community to your backyard. Let’s be an obedient and prayerful people today and moving forward in our lives. This is where we take a stand for our country and the lives of those in it!
Day 19 - Our Schools
Ephesians 6:10-11 NLT - 10 A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil.
What a battleground we find in our schools today. The opportunities for poor choices, bad influences, and life altering decisions face students of all ages today. Not only in elementary and high schools, but on our college campuses too. If we can apply this final word to our lives prior to leaving the house each day, no matter our destination, the places we go will be better for it.
Pray for our schools, pray for the atmosphere. For the power of the Holy Spirit to be strong in those who are His children. That they would be able to shine in the darkness, no matter the circumstance. They would have opportunities to share their faith. Pray for those who lead our schools to be godly and seek wisdom from the Holy Spirit. Pray for every single campus across the nation to have a fresh outpouring of the Spirit of God, including Radiant College.
Continue to fast and pray for those coming to Radiant College. Pray they would be equipped to do all God has called them to do. School is such a volatile and sometimes confusing place. Pray for God’s presence to be brought in by every armor wearing child of God. Let that presence be the thing that causes the enemy to tremble and the world to change.
Day 20 - Our Leaders
Romans 13:1 TPT - Every person must submit to and support the authorities over him. For there can be no authority in the universe except by God’s appointment, which means that every authority that exists has been instituted by God.
Submit and support, why? Because as we have talked about and we hope you’ve truly experienced during this time of prayer and fasting, God is in control. We are called as His children to pray for, not criticize our leaders. We have the freedom in America to choose leaders, but if it doesn’t go our way…remember whose way it always goes. God is always in control. As the verse says, no one is appointed without His say!
Take time this morning to commit to praying for our leaders: Local, state, and federal. God doesn’t only appoint local leaders, but it says all authority in the universe. How can we pray for our leaders? First, pray that each and every one of them finds the saving power of Jesus in their lives. Pray for wisdom as they lead our country and pray for sensitivity to have the power of the Holy Spirit nudge and guide them. Each time you hear a negative comment about a leader, pray for that leader, don’t join in on the conversation. Be an example of what God has called us to be.
This verse can also apply to your teachers, bosses, anyone who is in authority over you. God has placed them there. Seek wisdom from His about how your lives are meant to strengthen each others’. Commit to pray for the authority over you and watch the atmosphere of your job, house, school, and our nation as a whole change. The power of God changes everything!
Day 21 - God's Will
Proverbs 19:21 TPT - 21A person may have many ideas concerning God’s plan for his life,
but only the designs of God’s purpose will succeed in the end.
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 ESV - 16 Rejoice always, 17 pray without ceasing, 18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
On the last day of our time of prayer and fasting as a church, we have seen so much life change and we have seen God move in so many ways. In your life personally, take time to reflect on His goodness. Write down the revelations He has given you, the things you will take away from this time, and how you have grown in your relationship with Him.
As we close this moment in time, it’s important to understand something. Getting the answer we wanted to a request, the way we wanted it, isn’t always God’s will. Maybe you’ve seen God move in amazing ways in your life, but not THE WAY you wanted. It’s all about the journey of filling yourself up with more of Him. Not the result and not the result we think we need. As it says in Proverbs, we have a lot of plans, but only the design of God’s purpose will succeed in the end. Trust that the relationship you’ve cultivated over these past 21 days will continue to grow and flourish. As you move closer to His heart, your desires will match His and you will see even more miracles that you ever thought possible.
A final reminder for the last day of our fasting and prayer time as a church family is Paul’s charge to the Thessalonians. No matter what, we are called to rejoice ALWAYS, to pray without ceasing (so when the fast stops, don’t stop praying), and GIVE THANKS. God is always working, no matter what we physically feel or see in the moment. Trust in Him and His plan for you. His will, His plan, His purpose and power are far beyond anything we could imagine. So, give Him control and continue to chase Him for the rest of your life. He can and will change your life if you let him!
